As you use the Nomadic Tribe service, you’ll type in some of your information, such as your email address when you sign up. This notice lets you know exactly why we collect that information, what we do with it and how we protect it.
This policy is all in legal speak. So we’ve added a short and simple explanation of each section to help guide you through.
Before we get into the details, we want you to know that we will never sell your data. We swear, promise and guarantee that will not happen.
Just to let you know what this is all about. The main thing to note is that this is notice may change in the future. That could be for any number of reasons. For example, we might offer new services which require us to collect different information or use what we already have differently. And changes in privacy laws could also change this notice. But we’ll always let you know if and when we make updates, and we’ll always try to break them down so they’re easy to understand.
This Notice is issued by Nomadic Tribe LLC (“NomadicTribe”, “we”, “us” and “our”) and is addressed to individuals outside our organisation with whom we interact, including customers, users of our Social Media Platform, visitors to our Sites, users of our Apps, other users of our services, and visitors to our premises (together, “you”). Defined terms used in this Notice are explained in Section (S) below.
This Notice may be amended or updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices with respect to the Processing of Personal Data, or changes in applicable law. We encourage you to read this Notice carefully, and to regularly check this page to review any changes we might make in accordance with the terms of this Notice.
Just while you use the Nomadic Tribe service, there are lots of ways that we may end up with your data. If you email us, we’ll then have a record of your email address. If you post information to your profile, we’ll have that in our records too. This section of our policy tells you all the ways that may end if us having your personal information.
We collect or obtain Personal Data about you from the following sources:
Together, we may also create and collect new personal data as you use our service. For example, a record of emails you’ve sent to us. Or a trip booking. This new data is also covered (and protected) by this policy.
We also create Personal Data about you in certain circumstances, such as records of your interactions with us, details of your past interactions with us, details of your interactions with other users of our Sites, Apps and Social Media Platform. We may also combine Personal Data from any of our Sites, Apps, Social Media Platform or other services, including where those data are collected from different devices.
So what actual information do we keep a record of? This section lists all the types of data we currently collect, from your name to your choices for app settings.

What do we mean by ‘processing’ your data? This section tells you everything we might do with your information, along with reassurance about how everything is completely lawful.

If in the course of your use of our Social Media Platform you Process Personal Data relating to another individual, you must ensure that it is lawful for you to disclose such data on our Social Media Platform, and you must ensure a valid legal basis applies to the Processing of those Personal Data.
This is the one everyone wants to know. Do we sell your data to anyone? No. Never. But there are some situations where we do have to share it with our partners. Like if you’re visiting a tribe. We’ll let them know you’re coming. This section lists all the scenarios when we might give your data to someone outside of Nomadic Tribe.

If we engage a third-party Processor to Process your Personal Data, the Processor will be subject to binding contractual obligations to: (i) only Process the Personal Data in accordance with our prior written instructions; and (ii) use measures to protect the confidentiality and security of the Personal Data; together with any additional requirements under applicable law.
Having your data can let us give you extra benefits. Profiling is when we use data to help us group people. Doing this means we can give you personalized content and offers.
We Process Personal Data for the purposes of automated decision-making and Profiling, which is carried out for the following purposes:
Customised content and/or discounts
Where we analyse your interactions with us, content on our Social Media Platform, other users and your interests. This information is analysed to determine the most appropriate content, promotions and discounts to offer you.
This Profiling activity may mean that you receive content and discounts that are not available to others, and that others receive content and discounts that are not available to you.
If you’re visiting a tribe, we’ll at least have to give them your name and let them know when you’re showing up. That means that sometimes we do have to send your data across borders. But we take every necessary action to protect that transfer.
Because of the international nature of our business, we transfer Personal Data to third parties as noted in Section (G) above, in connection with the purposes set out in this Notice. For this reason, we transfer Personal Data to other countries that may have different laws and data protection compliance requirements to those that apply in the country in which you are located.
Where we transfer your Personal Data from the EEA to recipients located outside the EEA who are not in Adequate Jurisdictions, we do so on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses. You are entitled to request a copy of our Standard Contractual Clauses using the contact details provided in Section (R) below.
Please note that when you transfer any Personal Data directly to us, we are not responsible for that transfer of your Personal Data. We will nevertheless Process your Personal Data, from the point at which we receive those data, in accordance with the provisions of this Notice.
Because of the nature of the internet, no one can ever guarantee absolute security. But rest assured that we have a lot of processes in place to protect your data.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational security measures designed to protect your Personal Data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, unauthorised access, and other unlawful or unauthorised forms of Processing, in accordance with applicable law.
Because the internet is an open system, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will implement all reasonable measures to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to us using the internet – any such transmission is at your own risk and you are responsible for ensuring that any Personal Data that you send to us are sent securely.
It’s not good for you to have out-of-date personal information out there so we take steps to make sure that personal data is correct. That’s why we may ask you to confirm it from time to time.
We take every reasonable step to ensure that:

We only take the data we need and no more. For example, in order to sign up to our social platform, we’ll ask for your age as we need to know that you are over 13. But we wouldn’t ask for your height as it isn’t necessary for us to know that.

We also won’t keep hold of your data for any longer than we need to. This section goes into detail about this and how long we’ll hold onto things.

We use Stripe for payment services. Stripe collects identifying information about the devices that connect to its services. We Process Personal Data to contact you via email or other communication formats to provide you with information regarding Sites, Apps, our Social Media Platform or services that may be of interest to you. If we provide Sites, Apps, our Social Media Platform or services to you, we may send information to you regarding our Sites, Apps, Social Media Platform or services, upcoming promotions and other information that may be of interest to you, using the contact details that you have provided to us, subject always to obtaining your prior opt-in consent to the extent required under applicable law.
You may unsubscribe from our promotional email list at any time by simply clicking on the unsubscribe link included in every promotional email we send. After you unsubscribe, we will not send you further promotional emails, but in some circumstances we will continue to contact you to the extent necessary for the purposes of any Sites, Apps, Social Media Platform, or other services you have requested.
